so i was in a small group discussion and i made a joke comparing at&t to a snail (zing! TOPICAL!) but one of the people in my group was a nonnative English speaker. so she asked me what a snail was, and resorted to looking it up in a translator.
the word loaded on the screen in Chinese and then she immediately burst out laughing. it was a silly experience.
